July already?

I can't believe it is already July and I have not shared any of my creations over the past few months. In truth I've slacked a bit on my communications.  My second and third trimester have left me very tired at the end of the day with not much motivation to blog or post on Facebook.  But today was my last day at work, the next four weeks are for R&R before our baby boy joins us.

Here is a just a few samples of a few cards done over the last three months.

This was one from my father's day class.  My husband got this one on his first father to be day. First time I've used this stamp set and love it.
I found a similar style on pintress and my sister in-law loved it. Well she does so much for me that I decided to stock her up with handy birthday cards.  I did 3 different colors, calypso coral, pool party and wisteria wonder.
With all the scraps from the candle card above this one was easy to do. The DSP Sweet shop is too cute, too bad it is now retired.

I have a bunch of projects on mind to work on over the next month so stay tuned.

March Madness

What a month!  We set off to Florida for a week in February to visit my parents.  The warm weather was welcome and completely eased my 1st trimester nausea. Now back in the snow :( and back to work.  I've been busy making cards for a couple of orders and a class.  So excited to have one of my Hostesses join my team.
here are the three cards I demo'd for my class.  All with the Sycamore Street DSP in mind. I loved the first one so much, I made a few extra for my own use :)

I  also received a couple of requests for custom cards.  The first one is for a lady who is retiring. It was a great surprise when the client asked for butterflies and pink, two of my favorite things. This dry embossing technique has been on my to do list for months.  I am so happy how it turned out.

My second request was for a Birthday card.  The Birthday girl is from the Maritines, so I decided to go with a ship theme.  It was a bit difficult putting this together because the Open Sea stamp set is usually used for more masculine cards.  The Mojo Monday 283 template was a huge help.
Next on the list, my nephews 1st birthday :)

Mojo Monday 278

What a busy week it has been!  Movie night to see Les Miserable, Pedi to get ready for Florida and Jackson's 5th birthday party. My girlfriend extended out the invite to us since this time next year we will have one of our own to join in the fun :) That's right, 2nd Trimester started yesterday! August 17th cannot come soon enough as we've been waiting so long for our little one to join us. There were so many great kids at the birthday party, I pray that ours turns out as well behaved :)  So here is Jackson's birthday card.
The Mojo Monday sketch was perfect, I just decided to flip the flags upside down.

The Sweet Shop DSP was off the SU clearance rack and Whiff of Joy Henry The Celebrating Mouse is a favorite of mine, it's not often I get to use him.  Next on the agenda is a birthday card for my mother in law.

Happy Stamping!

Bryson's Baptism

This will be my first ever, in two years, of actually submitting a card during the Mojo Monday contest week. Yay for me! It was also my first religious card, made for my gorgeous nephew's baptism. Chris and I are one  of the lucky couples to be named his god parents. I thought the Crosses of Hope from Stampin' Up was perfect for this special occasion.

Crosses of Hope
My husband actually chose the cross for the card.  It kind of has a Celtic feel which is perfect for my brother's son.  The double bow was fun too, I watched a tutorial online which uses a fork to make the bows.
